Part number
If you have it, this is the fastest route. Include the manufacturer name alongside it where you can.
Machine model
The make, model and approximate year of the machine is usually enough for us to identify the component.
A photograph
No number and no plate? A clear photograph of the part in place is often all we need to work from.
